Gavin Bishop – 2026 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA) Nomination

Storylines Patron Gavin Bishop has been nominated for the 2026 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA) – the world’s largest award for children’s and young adult literature!
 
This year, a total of 263 candidates from 74 countries and regions have been nominated, including 78 new nominees. The list celebrates authors, illustrators, storytellers and reading promoters who inspire children worldwide through literature. 
 
The 2026 laureate will be announced on 14 April 2026.
 
Congratulations Gavin – what an incredible recognition of your outstanding contribution to children’s literature in Aotearoa NZ and beyond! 🇳🇿
