Congratulations to all the winners at last night’s PANZ Book Design Awards!
🎉 We’re especially delighted to celebrate four outstanding children’s titles that shone brightly on the night.
A Lot of Silly by Joy Cowley & David Barrow (Gecko Press) and The Dream Factory / Te Wheketere Moemoeā by Steph Matuku & Zak Ātea (Huia Publishers) were named joint winners of the Scholastic New Zealand Award for Best Children’s Book.
My Matariki Colouring and Activity Bookby Rangi Matamua, Miriama Kamo & Isobel Joy Te Aho-White (Scholastic NZ) took out the PANZ Award for Best Education Book or Series — Primary.
And rising talent Sarah-Louise Crawford was recognised with the Hachette Aotearoa New Zealand Emerging Designer Award, with her design work on Charlie Tangaroa and the God of War by T K Roxborogh (Huia Publishers) a standout.
