Joy Cowley Writing from the Heart reprint

The Storylines Trust Te Whare Waituhi Tamariki has reprinted the much-loved Joy Cowley’s excellent book, Writing from the Heart: How to Write for Children.

This manual, which generously shares Joy’s wisdom and lifetime of experience, was first published in 2020 and quickly became a much sought-after guide for children’s authors.

“Joy’s book is an enduring and invaluable guide to both new and established writers about how to approach writing for young people,” says Storylines Trust chair, Christine Young. “Her wisdom resonates throughout and it’s a resource that no author or aspiring author can afford to be without.”

The new edition of Writing from the Heart, with its bright new cover, can be ordered from the Storylines Resources page.
