Storylines Welcomes New Part-time Executive Officer

Renée brings a wealth of experience in fundraising, leadership, curatorial work, marketing and events management within Aotearoa’s cultural and creative sectors.

Her career includes roles at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, the National Gallery of Victoria, Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts and Auckland Council.

As the founder of her creative agency, Lightbox Projects, Renée has spent over a decade as an experienced arts broker and creative producer, supporting artists and organisations to define their purpose and achieve their goals. In her part-time capacity with Storylines, Renée will apply her expertise to the intersection of creativity and community.

Importantly for Storylines, Renée brings a genuine love of books and a long-standing connection to children’s literature-grounded in a life shaped by reading, a deep appreciation for writers and illustrators, and a commitment to ensuring tamariki and rangatahi can access the joy, confidence, and possibilities that stories provide.

Renée joins us with energy, curiosity, and a strong desire to strengthen our impact and continue building Storylines’ reputation in our mahi across Aotearoa.

Renée, nau mai, haere mai-we’re delighted to welcome you into the Storylines whānau.

As we welcome Renée, we also acknowledge that our much-loved Anne de Lautour has stepped away from Storylines.  Although we suspect she will not be taking her eye off us! The Storylines team would like to extend enormous gratitude to Anne for her leadership, warm manner, good humour and for the way she grew new relationships while carefully nurturing existing partnerships. Anne’s generosity, steady guidance and multi-faceted network across our children’s book community helped steer Storylines through some particularly challenging years. We wish Anne the very best in her next endeavours.
