Every child deserves to meet the stories and storytellers who can light up their world. The Storylines Story Tour travels to regional schools, kura kaupapa Māori, Wharekura, and libraries across Aotearoa – bringing the magic of books to tamariki who may never have met a real author before.
With your help, we’re aiming to raise $5,000 through our Boosted crowdfunding campaign to cover author travel, fees and rental vans – the essentials that make these journeys possible.
As highlighted in Literacy Forum (2025), research from AUT LitPlus confirms that encounters with authors not only increase reading enjoyment, but also confidence, cultural connection and book discovery – particularly for reluctant readers.
