Christine Young

BA, Dip Bus (Mktg), MA (Arts Management)

Christine Young is an independent writer, and marketing and communications consultant, specialising in feature writing and the arts. She has worked with a number of arts organisations advising on business and audience development, marketing and funding. She has worked with Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra as marketing manager, a number of smaller arts organisations, and lectured in arts marketing on the Whitecliffe College Master of Arts in Arts Management programme for a number of years. In 2011 she completed her Master of Arts in Arts Management at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design with First Class Honours. Christine has had several children’s early reading books published, and was part-time executive officer of the Storylines Children’s Literature Charitable Trust for six years until April 2011. She has worked in senior roles with Auckland Arts Festival, Auckland Regional Council, and a number of other arts and not-for-profit organisations, including Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Atamira Dance Company, Tim Bray Productions and CCS Disability Action. As a feature writer, she won awards for her work with publications including NZ Marketing Magazine, Metro and Management magazines.
