Alison Shucksmith is the Children’s Publisher for Little Moa, an imprint of Hachette Aotearoa New Zealand. With a career at Hachette spanning since 2007, Alison has held various roles within the company, all of which have nurtured her passion for books. Her current role allows her to collaborate closely with creatives to produce engaging and impactful books for children.

Witnessing firsthand the transformative power of reading, Alison is passionate about advocating for children’s literacy and supporting initiatives that promote reading as a tool for positive socio-economic outcomes.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Alison coaches youth football.
