Storylines Saturday Sessions will be held on Saturday 25 March 2023 at St Mary’s College, Ponsonby, Auckland. Registration opens at 12.30pm and a full programme can be downloaded here. Choose one session to attend for each time slot. Sessions can NOT be recorded.

The cost for all three sessions is $100 for Storylines members, or $130 for non-members. The cost for one or two sessions is $40 per session for Storylines members, or $50 per session for non-members. A fee of 2.5% applies for credit card payments. To become a member, visit our page.

 

Session A: 1.00 - 2.00pm

Session C: 3.30 - 4.30pm

Fascinating True Stories with Maria Gill

Learn how to write a non-fiction story to dazzle your readers with the award-winning author of 60 nonfiction books.

Editing With Sue Copsey

Sharpen your pencil with the various levels of editing (assessment, development/structural, line/copy, and proofreading), talk includes ‘live’ copy edits on selected manuscripts submitted by attendees.

Optional: You are invited to submit the first two pages for an open critique. You will be notified by email to submit. Please remember that an open critique means your feedback will be given publicly during the session, so no work will be private. Not all entries will be selected and all choices and comments are at the discretion of the agent.

Sessions can NOT be recorded. If the Storylines Saturday Sessions are cancelled, you’re entitled to a full refund. Credit card convenience fees are not refundable.

If for any reason, you have registered and are not able to attend, your cancellation request must be made in writing to Storylines (childlitnz@storylines.org.nz). The following conditions apply: A full refund (excluding any credit card convenience fees) will be given up to and including 13 March 2023. 14 March to 20 March 2023: An administration fee of $10 is applicable per workshop and will be deductible from any refund issued. Credit card convenience fees are not refundable. After 21 March 2023: No refund. No-shows will not be refunded.
