The Storylines Margaret Mahy National Awards Day is one of Storylines’ two major annual celebrations of achievement by New Zealand’s writers and illustrators, publishers, and others who have contributed greatly to New Zealand children’s literature. It is held each year on the weekend closest to International Children’s Book Day, 2 April – Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday.

The afternoon includes the Storylines Margaret Mahy Medal and Lecture presentations, announcement of awards for original manuscripts and illustration.

Please register using this form. Numbers are limited and registrations will be taken on a "first in, first confirmed" basis. We will advise you if you are unsuccessful in booking a place, and refund your registration fee (if applicable) in full, less any credit card fees.
