Cat Chapman

cat chapman-252Cat Chapman’s love for drawing was encouraged by her primary school friends requesting she draw pictures of horses for them.  As an adult, realising career prospects were slim for someone who could draw awkward-looking ponies, she went on to study for a Bachelor of Design at Unitec and has worked as a wedding photographer, English teacher and as a graphic and product designer.  In 2010 she attended a course in children's book illustration, followed by a contract for her first book and now works full time illustrating and chasing after her children in Mt Eden, Auckland.
