Chrissie Walker

Chrissie Walker-568Chrissie lives in Christchurch and has been a librarian for more than 20 years, during which she selected children’s and young adult books for a public library network as well as being heavily involved in children’s programming.  She is currently a high school librarian. 

Chrissie is passionate about reading and inspiring others to read, and always has a big pile of books on the go. She is the author of The Short but Brilliant Career of Lucas Weed which won the Storylines om Fitzgibbon Award in 2017 and was named a 2019 Storylines Notable Book. 

Apart from reading and writing, Chrissie loves travelling, dogs, collecting unusual clothes and shoes and eating cake!
