Dunedin Family Day

The 2016 Dunedin Family Day  on Saturday 27 August at Dunedin City Library was a huge success.
What a fabulous day everyone had at the Dunedin Family Day! There was poetry on spots, there were marvellous story cloaks, there were beaks and bookmarks, stories and talks. Scott Tulloch delighted the audience by drawing a portrait while blindfolded, and Fifi Colston's beautiful watercolours were a delight as she storyboarded The Kiwi and the Tortoise. With the high fashion of Jane Bloomfield's Lily Max added to the mix, and storybook theatre from Taieri College students, featuring the works of Elizabeth Pulford, Ella West and Elena de Roo, everyone was treated to a full day's entertainment. Diana Noonan was an expert judge for the illustration competition, managing to select three winners from a huge number of entries, while Leonie Agnew graciously presented the prizes to our budding writers for the storywriting competition. We just about wore our young audiences out if the weary but happy faces filing out the door at the end of the day are anything to go by!"
