Wendy Catran

Wendy_Catran.jpgWendy Catran was born in Wellington in 1948. After completing a BA at the University of Auckland and a secondary teaching diploma she spent 10 years in Melbourne. With a background in writing for television in both Australia and New Zealand, Wendy now writes for children. Her fiction tends to be based in fact, with a particular focus on issues of cultural and historical significance. She lives in Waimate with her husband, writer Ken Catran.
