Lamia Aziz

2016 lamia aziz-182Iraqi-born illustrator Lamia Aziz has a Diploma of Graphic Art from the Baghdad Institute of Fine Arts. She has worked as a designer and art teacher, and her work has been exhibited at Bologna Children's Book Fair, Italy, and in France, Lebanon and Jordan.
Lamia holds Master of Art & Design (first class), a Diploma in teaching and Bachelor in Art & Design (Honours), first class from AUT, Auckland. Besides her work in illustration, she is a secondary graphic design teacher.
Lamia has illustrated more than 200 books internationally and in New Zealand, and she is also the author of two books. She  lives in Auckland with her husband, Samer Hatam, who is also an artist.
