Grant Walker

Grant was born in Christchurch in 1960 and went to school locally. For more than 30 years Grant has been a radio and television broadcaster, and now the voice of the Wheel of Fortune TV game show.

Although Grant had done a fair bit of writing during his years as a broadcaster it was never in the form of a book. It wasn’t until he reached his mid-40s that he started writing fiction, and this mainly at night, rewriting until he was completely satisfied with the results of his evening's work. Grant believes he is more creative at night. It’s only in the morning when he looks at his work again that he finds out whether he is or not!

The creative side of writing is what Grant enjoys, 'and that special look on someone’s face when you read them something you have written and they really enjoy it.'
