Ruth Paul

Ruth is an author and illustrator of children's picture books and lives in an off-grid straw bale house in the middle of a paddock just outside Wellington, New Zealand. Over the years, Ruth achieved a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and History, a three year Diploma in Visual Communication Design, and half a law degree.

Ruth has published picture books with Scholastic NZ and has been published in four countries since 2004. The King’s Bubbles won the NZ Post Children’s Choice picture book award in 2008, and Two Little Pirates is a 2011 Storylines Notable Book. Her latest book STOMP!, a dinosaur follow-the-leader story with a twist, is out in August 2011. Her original picture book illustrations are becoming highly sought after, with two held in the prestigious Mazza Collection at the University of Findlay, Ohio.
