Robyn Kahukiwa, of Ngâti Porou, was born in Australia of New Zealand parents. She is a descendant of Te Whanau-a-Ruataupare and Te Whanau-a-Te-Ao of Tokomaru Bay, and is affiliated to Te Arawa by marriage. Robyn exhibits frequently and her work is in public and private collections in New Zealand and overseas. She has written and illustrated a number of children's books. She lives in Rotorua.
