Johanna Knox is the author of The Flytrap Snaps, launched in August 2011. It's the first in a fast-paced mystery-adventure series for 9-12 year olds, starring carnivorous plants with minds of their own.

Previously, Johanna has published short stories for children and adults in anthologies and the School Journal. She also reviews books, writes magazine articles (often about food or plants), helps develop museum exhibitions, and chats on National Radio’s This Way Up about foraging for wild food.
She and her family have collected carnivorous plants for eight years, although their collection is meagre compared to many of the dedicated enthusiasts they know.
