Glenn Jowitt was born in 1955 in Upper Hutt. He graduated in graphic design and photography from Canterbury University, Christchurch, in 1978. He has travelled extensively as a freelance photographer, and also teaches documentary photography. Widely published and exhibited, his books include Race Day, Pacific Pattern, What is on Top?, Pacific Island Style, and Focus on the Pacific, a series of 10 booklets for schools.
Glenn has an extensive knowledge of the South Pacific and, from many expeditions that have resulted in books and exhibitions, provides services as a commissioned photographer, access to an extensive photographic library and archival cibachrome exhibition prints.
