Dawn McMillan

Dawn McMillan lives at Waiomu on the Thames Coast, with her husband Derek, and their cat, Josie.

Much of her work is inspired by nature and the environment as she lives alongside the park and the beach, and only a short walk away from the bush tracks along the Waiomu stream.

Dawn has written picture books and educational readers for the international market.  Dawn has recently retired from teaching to focus on her writing career. She plans to continue working with picture book, and with the readers, while adventuring out into fiction for older children.
