Brian Lovelock

Brian Lovelock is an illustrator and a scientist. He has painted all his life but has only recently started illustrating children’s picture books. He was very lucky to meet some helpful people in the publishing business who encouraged him to try picture book illustration. Illustrating is a nice balance to his science work.

Brian has always loved picture books, the infinite variety of styles and the individuality that artists can impart to a book.  Brian’s other interests include reading, cooking and spending time with his friends. He lives in Auckland with his two children, Jackie and Harry.
