Ann Mallinson

Ann Mallinson was the first publisher to receive the Storyliens Margaret Mahy Lecture Award, given in recognition of her very special contribution to children's publishing in New Zealand. 
Ann established Mallinson Rendel Publishers with David Rendel in 1980. Mallinson Rendel published mainly children's fiction and picture books. In 1990 Maclary Theatre Productions was formed and produces Hairy Maclary Shows, successfully setting Lynley Dodd’s stories to music and dance.
