Kelvin Hawley was born in Auckland in 1957. He graduated with a Diploma of Graphic Design from the then Auckland Technical Institute. He ably adapts his illustrative style to suit the mood of the texts he is working with: from the boisterous to the tranquil. Kelvin has illustrated a wide range of educational readers.
