Dawn (DC) GrantDawn has lived and travelled far and wide before settling in New Zealand and now calls Auckland home. Born in Manchester, England, she moved to South Africa in her early teens and moved again to New Zealand 20 years later. She started writing in her late teens and wrote about what she knew – being a teenager. Even though she now has teenage children of her own, she still writes for this age group. Her first published work was a short story that appeared in the children’s anthology Hideous & Hilarious, edited by Barbara Else and published by Random House in 2006. In Too Deep, published by Scholastic New Zealand in 2007, was Dawn’s first full-length novel.
