Craig HarrisonCraig Harrison was born in Leeds, England in 1942 and was educated locally before attending Leeds University. At nine-years-old Craig started writing funny short stories. In 1966 Craig came to New Zealand and took up a position of lecturer in the English Department at Massey University, Palmerston North. He remained in this job until he retired. Craig tried to write The Dumpster Saga so that there are all kinds of clues and hints buried in everyday happenings, words and images that get repeated or form a pattern that the reader can pick up on, but which the characters in the story don’t always see. Quite simply, Craig wanted to write something that would make readers laugh.
