Wendy Catran was born in Wellington in 1948. After completing a BA at Auckland University and a secondary teaching diploma she spent ten years in Melbourne. She has written scripts for many popular television series both here in New Zealand and in Australia. She lives in Waimate with her husband, writer Ken Catran.
