Barry Crump

Barry Crump was an extraordinary Kiwi legend. He began his working life as a professional hunter before beginning a writing career that would span more than 30 years and see him awarded an MBE for services to literature in 1984. Before his death in 1996, he wrote 24 books, including Hang on a Minute Mate and A Good Keen Man, which has sold more than a million copies. He also wrote a number of stories for children, featuring the Pungapeople characters.
