Membership is open to all interested people on payment of an annual subscription.

Organisation or Network members
Network members do not have individual membership. This means that the member's organisation receives one newsletter and when making nominations or voting, two votes are allowed. Membership is open to organisations and groups with similar aims such as libraries, schools, booksellers, and publishers.
Affiliated members
Affiliated groups, such as other children's literature associations, will receive one newsletter for the group and are entitled to no votes.
