Margaret Mahy Day

Each year, on the Saturday closest to International Children’s Book Day on  2 April (unless Easter interferes!) Storylines celebrates its award winners, members and activities with its annual Margaret Mahy Day.

Highlights of the day include:

• Presentation of the Storylines Margaret Mahy Award and Lecture
• Presentation of the Storylines Gaelyn Gordon Award winner
• Announcement of the Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon Award winner
• Launch of the previous year’s Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon Award winning book
• Announcement of the Storylines Joy Cowley Award winner
• Announcement of the Storylines Gavin Bishop Award winner
• Announcement of the Storylines Notable Books List
• A chance to mingle with other children’s book fans and friends
• An opportunity to meet fabulous New Zealand authors and illustrators for children and young adults
• Presentation of the annual reports for the Storylines Trust and Foundation
