Storylines Margaret Mahy Medal Presentation and National Awards Day

The Storylines Margaret Mahy Medal Presentation and National Awards Day is Storylines’ annual celebration of New Zealand’s authors, their books and achievements. It is held in Auckland each year on the weekend closest to International Children’s Book Day, 2 April - Hans Christian Andersen's birthday.
In 2016 it is being held from 2.30-5.30pm on Sunday 3 April at the Music Auditorium at Auckland University Epsom campus. Parking is at Gate 2, Epsom Ave, Epsom.

It is an afternoon of fellowship and celebration, with the presentation of the Margaret Mahy Lecture by the winner of the Margaret Mahy Medal and the announcement of Storylines awards. These include:   The afternoon also features
  • the opportunity to meet New Zealand authors and illustrators
  • The annual  Storylines Foundation AGM and presentation of the annual report of eh Foundation and the Storylines Trust.
